During the month of Dec, I knew I was working hard to give respectable shape to my applications (not very sure if that happened or not), and push them through the door before the deadline. But only after I finished my apps, have I come to realise that I was actually more busy than I thought. Life after the deadlines has been filled with minimal interaction with the bschool world (yes, i have successfully avoided bweek, s2s and other forums, and i dont check my app status everyday). As a result, I have a lot of time to do what I missed during the hectic app season.
This past weekend was pretty leisurely - I enjoyed 2 different parties, picked up a novel from the local library, flinged the racquet on the tennis court, and saw Johnny Cash's biopic "Walk the Line".
"Walk the Line" - did not disappoint me. I had gone into the movie theatre with no expectations, and zero awareness - and I guess that helped. Both Reese and Joaquin impressed me, and I believe that both of them should give good competition to the other contenders in the Oscar race. Most of all, I like Johnny Cash's songs in the movie, but I am still undecided if I would get beaten up by my friends for playing aloud 60s music in this new millenium (i know - headphones are always there to save my bones ).
